Answer to Question 1

Cross-cultural theatre joins people of diverse cultures and exposes the complexities among cultures by putting them on the stage side by side. However, some believe that it simply reduces culture to an interesting stage technique or amounts to inappropriate cultural appropriation.

Answer to Question 2

Protest theatre gives a voice to the many points of view in our culture and sheds light on issues affecting minorities and oppressed groups.
