Answer to Question 1

Golden Age plays did not keep to the classical distinctions of tragedy and comedy. Comedias, the secular dramatic works of the period, mixed serious and comic subject matter. There were many types of comedias including cloak-and-dagger plays, comedies of manners, honor plays, and romantic comedies that took up a variety of subjects including history, legend, the lives of saints, and current social issues.

Answer to Question 2

True . As Ibsen's A Doll's House demonstrates, a play, as a work of art and literature,
can have major effects on the outside world (see slide 12). This plays a big role when analyzing a
play's main idea and intention.
