Answer to Question 1

B

Answer to Question 2

Because music, dance, costumes, props, and masks are commonly used in both rituals and theatrical performances, theorists have speculated that many forms of theatre evolved from rituals. Some scholars believe that the roots of theatre lie in storytelling, in which a narrator embellishes a tale, taking on the voices, facial expressions, and mannerisms of different characters. Others suggest the origin lies in dance, where physical movement and mimed action gave expression to ideas before developed language.
