A specialty store had sales for the week of 30,000 . If eight employees worked 205 hours, determine the sales per employee hour.

According to payroll records, during the past week 40 employees worked. Of these employees, 15 worked a regular full-time 36-hour week. Part-time employees worked a total of 500 hours, and sales for the week were 168,000 . Determine the sales per full-time employee equivalent.

Answer to Question 1

Sales per employee hour = 30,000  205 = 146.34

Answer to Question 2

Number of full-time equivalents = 500  36 = 13.89 + 15 = 28.9
Sales per full-time equivalent = 168,000  28.89 = 5,815.16
