Jennifer would need to first calculate total purchase:
Total purchase = 30 x 120.00 + 20 x 220.00 = 8,000.00
Then she needs to calculate the balance:
Balance = Total needs at cost  Total purchase = 11,200.00  8,000.00 = 3,200.00
In order to calculate maximum unit cost, Jennifer needs to divide cost balance to the number of dresses she needs to purchase:
Unit cost = Cost balance  Number of dresses to be purchased = 3,200.00/ 40 = 80.00
