goods to other countries as well as imports into our country. American Apparel ships goods
to the UK, we receive goods from Ralph Lauren's factory in China for the U.S. Olympic
Team
2 . Capital and labor flows- also known as resource flows, describe the production facilities in
foreign countries, and foreign firms establishing facilities in the United States. Nike
establishes a production factory in Sri Lanka, Reebok opens a factory in Columbus Ohio.
3 . Information and technology flow- the transmission of information from the U.S. to other
nations about pricing, interest rates, and investment opportunities, Wal-Mart shares RFID
with China, and the same information flows from China to Wal-Mart.
4 . Financial Flows- the transfer of money between the U.S. and other countries for the
purpose of paying for imports, buying foreign assets, paying interest on debt, and providing
foreign aid.
