Answer to Question 1

c. Operations

Answer to Question 2

Not only are organic and sustainable materials used to create apparel but items that are
considered classic and of quality that will last for long periods of time are considered green
or environmentally friendly. Fibers and fabric are farmed or developed to meet the standards
of organizations such as the Organic Exchange which features specific companies such as
Nike, Timberland, Patagonia, Eileen Fisher, and Levi Strauss as offering garments made of
organic cotton.
Cosmetic product companies such as Body Shop and Origins are animal and environmentally
friendly as well. Students may cite specific product examples as well as other companies that
meet these ideals.
