Answer to Question 1

ANS: Young childrens concept of friendship is limited, primarily revolving around immediate situation with little thought given to enduring nature of friendship. As children get older their peer groups becomes much more important as a source of support.

Answer to Question 2

ANS: You should consider where the children are developmentally and assessing each stage of development. In a multi-age room the material selection should be more open ended. The positive aspect is the shared learning with children who have a more developed skill. The cons include engaging all children in the learning.
