decision to adopt acceptance of inability to reproduce, deciding on type of adoption
adoption process making social and legal arrangements
adoption acceptance of new family member
childs preschool years deciding who, when, what, and how to tell
childs school age years acknowledging adoption in larger community

Answer to Question 2

  Microsystem: parent nurturance of children
  Exosystem: influence from extended family, workplace issues, and other systems that do not have direct effects on children
  Macrosystem: societal systems such as economy, religion, public policies, political climate
  Chronosystem: era in which one is parenting and childs developmental period, e.g. parenting a preschooler in the 1990s
