Answer to Question 1

Fill a cardboard box with damp sand. Mix plaster of Paris with water. Children can make forms in the sand or press shells or other objects into the sand. Pour in plaster of Paris and allow to dry. Remove when hardened.

They can be enjoyed by children alone or in a group. As an example, a group mural can allow children to plan, compromise, share, and cooperate. Individually, children can paint, dance, or listen to music in order to release tension and achieve a sense of peace. They can experience emotions vicariously.
