Answer to Question 1

Children will feel less isolated from the kinds of experiences their friends might have. Activities can enrich the program of the center.

Answer to Question 2

Know some games to play or stories to tell. Have some special materials you can bring out for rainy or snowy days: a new game, special books, or unusual art materials are some examples. Have also a wide selection of costumes and accessories, plus figures, cars, and airplanes to add to block play. Outdoors, boards, boxes, hammers, nails, and pipe can be used for spontaneous play.
