Answer to Question 1

Answer should include any three of the following: childhood poverty, homelessness, child abuse and neglect, young children with special health needs.

Answer to Question 2

Maintenance (Developmental) Programs are programs that include a strong native language emphasis, incorporating students cultural heritage into the instruction, while Immersion Programs follow a sink-or-swim philosophy, with English language as the exclusive medium of instruction.
