Answer to Question 1

The purpose of summative assessment is to summarize learning so that the program can gauge if children as a whole have met overall program goals and outcomes.

Answer to Question 2

A basic skill that is required on a frequent basis; for example eating, toileting, requesting assistance, turn-taking.
