ANSWER: Activity level, rhythmicity, approach or withdrawal, adaptability, intensity of reaction, threshold of responsiveness, quality of mood, distractibility, attention span, and persistence. The study is important because it indicated that temperament exhibited in infancy is fairly consistent over the lifespan. It indicates that temperament is biologically transmitted.
