As the internet continuously expands, it is becoming increasingly possible to use virtual field trips via computer to places inaccessible to the childrens location. Commercial sites (dot-coms) typically require payment for virtual field trips, whereas non-profits (dot-orgs) frequently provide such experiences for free. This allows children in an urban area to experience rural situations and vice-versa.
