First, books should be selected using criteria described in the aspects of literature section. Secondly, the age of the children should be considered. Finally, one can analyze the book to determine whether it will lend itself to an exciting and enjoyable read-aloud experience.

ANSWER: The room should change as the children develop; new equipment, supplies, and interest centers need to be added.
