Child-rearing practices and the beliefs and values behind them are strongly tied to culture. When parents and caregivers agree on these practices, there are fewer problems. There is a potential conflict when a person from one culture cares for children who come from a culture with a different value system. Therefore, it is important to include parents who represent the cultures within the center population.
