Answer to Question 1

Rules stated in a positive manner inform children about how adults expect toys and equipment to be used safely. When rules are stated negatively, children only learn what they must not do. Rules and guidelines stated in simple, clear terms help children begin to understand the concepts of safety and safe behavior.

The dogs detected 54 of the 55 lung cancer patients as having cancer, detected 28 of the 31 breast cancer patients, and gave only three false-positive results (detecting cancer in people who didn't have it).

This is partially backed up by the fact that early grandfather clocks displayed IIII for the number 4 instead of IV. Early clockmakers apparently thought that the IIII balanced out the VIII (used for the number 8) on the clock face and that it just looked better.
