A health consultant for the early childhood education environment may be a public health nurse, nurse, nurse practitioner, or other health professional. The health consultant should have specialized training for the early childhood education setting

Breslin identified four major characteristics that resilient children appear to have: heightened sensory awareness; high, positive expectations; a clear and ongoing understanding of their strengths and abilities; and a well-developed sense of humor.
