Answer to Question 1

ANSWER: Teachers need to work with clinicians who use assessment tools in order to insure that assessment data accurately reflects what the teacher knows about a familys cultural background and practices. Many standardized test do not take into account the culturally diverse individuals and families and much of the assessment and data may have misdiagnosed. Stereotyping can occur as a result of direct bias.
