ANSWER: It reflects the image of the child as rich in resources, strong, and competent. Emphasis is placed on seeing the children as unique individuals with rights, rather than simply needs.

Answer to Question 2

ANSWER: (1) Help children develop trust and secure attachments with the caregiver but also (2) assist family members to form strong, secure relationships with the infants.
