Answer to Question 1

ANSWER:
False

Answer to Question 2

No, we want children to tell the truth, and forcing them to apologize when they feel no remorse undermines that. It is important for us to find some way to help the child make amends. The child will feel positive about him- or herself if given a chance to make things right.
