Spanish-speaking children make up the largest group of preschoolers with limited English in the United States today. 2.The language of the largest other-than-English-speaking group of children attending the teacher's program so that the teacher can be more aware and helpful in planning and interacting to promote language and literacy growth. An Asian language might also be best if teacher works with primarily Asian children.
