Answer to Question 1

False - not the best time, a poor time

Answer to Question 2

Children do not instantly develop an ability to take turns or to resist greedily grabbing a toy. They are naturally inclined to resist when confronted with a sudden, unexpected demand that they change a long-standing behavior. Slowly and persistently, however, we can nudge children into behaving in a more responsible and prosocial manner. It may be months before the child's consistent, predictable routines expand and change. The important thing is that the child keeps moving in the right direction. We need to give the child time to adjust gradually and learn new ways of doing things.
