Answer to Question 1

c

Answer to Question 2

Some cultures focus on cohesive interaction. Their background has prepared individuals from such cultures to think in terms of kinship. They tend to gravitate toward group- or team-oriented goals. Children who grow up in cohesive interaction cultural settings often have the responsibility of caring for other children in the family. They grow up with a strong sense that the community of kinship can be depended on to meet their emotional and physical needs and are often extremely attached to their community of origin. In contrast, children growing up in a cultural context where social role expectations tend toward individual development and fulfillment operate very differently. There is more likely to be a strong nuclear family bond than a wide kinship bond. The family is more likely to rely on itself and less likely to ask for help from others outside the nuclear family. Although they may do volunteer work or give to charity, they are much less likely to know what the needs of their neighbors are, or to be available to help them. The parents are more likely to move from region to region to achieve higher-paying work. The children are more involved in individual, self-fulfilling work and play and much less likely to have responsibility for caring for a sibling.
