Answer to Question 1

ANSWER:
Teachers can guide the play without dominating or overwhelming the children; reinforce childrens thoughts and ideas; models play when necessary; ask questions and clarify what is happening; give verbal cues to enable children to follow through on an idea; focus childrens attention on one another; interpret childrens behavior aloud; and extend the play by asking questions that lead to exploration and discovery.

Answer to Question 2

ANSWER:
There are co-teachers who are considered facilitators of childrens growth and development and who ask a great many questions of the children in order to guide the process of open discovery. They often do not have degrees and are supported in their work by a pedigogista who has early childhood training. Teachers are considered to be researchers as they discuss and prepare their work with children. They use transcripts of childrens dialogue, and photograph their projects and display them artfully, using documentation as a form of communication. Teachers work very closely with the parents of the children in the school and the members of the school board.

Although the Roman numeral for the number 4 has always been taught to have been "IV," according to historians, the ancient Romans probably used "IIII" most of the time. This is partially backed up by the fact that early grandfather clocks displayed IIII for the number 4 instead of IV. Early clockmakers apparently thought that the IIII balanced out the VIII (used for the number 8) on the clock face and that it just looked better.
