Answer to Question 1

ANSWER:
Parents have different knowledge about the child than the teacher. They know the childs physical, medical, social, and intellectual history. They know the child as a member of a family and the role that the child plays in that family group. Through the parents, a teacher learns about the home life of the child, whom the child lives with in what kind of family situation, and what the childs lifestyle is like. Parents bring a sense of continuity about the child. They know what makes their child happy and sad, and how they react to changes.
