Narrative poetry (tells a story), Ballads (a type of narrative poetry that tells a story relating to a specific incident or thought), Verse Novels (book-length narrative poems), Lyric (a statement of mood or feeling), Concrete (uses the appearance of words on a page to suggest or illustrate the poems meaning), Limerick (a form of light verse, has five lines and a rhyme scheme of a-a-b-b-a), Haiku (usually about nature and consists of three lines and seventeen syllables), Cinquain (five unrhymed lines usually in the pattern of two, four, six, eight, and two syllables each).
