The continuing popularity and increasing numbers of series books, the availability of outstanding books for emerging readers, more young adult fiction that casts an unrelenting eye on life, the continuing popularity of post-modern texts, the rise of graphic novels, the popularity of crossover books, and an explosion of dystopian novels for young adults.
