The Florida law, known as "Terri's Law" stated:
◦ If a person has been on life support for more than one year without any improvement, the spouse or parents of the incapacitated individual may remove the life support technologies
◦ Police have the right to stop and frisk suspicious people
◦ That the only way a feeding tube or other life-prolonging measures could be withheld was through a living will or similar document, or if there was clear proof and convincing evidence of the express consent to withhold such measures
◦ Living wills are only valid if they are drafted by an attorney, and living wills drafted by a lay person are not legal
