Answer: Animism is the view that objects have spirits which move them. Descartes argued that the mind and brain are separate but interacting. Most physiological psychologists argue that mind is a property of the brain.

Answer: We are able to test the causes of diseases and to seek treatments for diseases. Stroke research has led to the development of drugs that reduce brain damage associated with a stroke.
