Write the following as an equation, using x for the unknown number. Then If 3 times a number is added to -9, the result is equal to 12 times the number. Find the number.
◦ 4x + (-9) = 12x;  1
◦ 3x + (-9) = 12x;  -1
◦ 15x - 12x = 9;  1
◦ 12(3x - 9) = -9;  -1
