A teacher should strive to be a good example of acceptable social behavior because:
◦ one way children become socialized is by imitating behavior, and they need good models to copy.
◦ children's centers often lack male volunteers, so the teacher must present an especially strong model for the boys to copy.
◦ doing this reinforces the good behavior of the children.
◦ doing this gives the children satisfaction and helps perpetuate their own good behavior.
