Answer to Question 1

Answer to Question 2

Answer: Huntington's disease (HD) is caused by degeneration of the caudate nucleus and the putamen (and loss of GABA function). The disease is marked by uncontrollable jerky movements of the arms and legs. Parkinson's disease is associated with neurodegeneration of the nigrostriatal dopamine system and involves tremor at rest, muscle rigidity, slowness of movement, and postural instability.
