Answer to Question 1

For a woman, especially a traditional child-centered wife, coping with a lack of purpose and feelings of usefulness is present. Women, even those who have worked full-time, have experienced many roles and see those roles as equally important to the role of worker. Therefore, the retirement change is not as dramatic as it is for a man.
