Answer to Question 1

b

Answer to Question 2

Conventional antipsychotics specifically reduce the core symptoms of schizophrenia, induce a variety of extrapyramidal motor disturbances, increase muscle tone, decrease seizure thresholds, and do not produce effects that lead to drug abuse or dependence. Anxiolytic benzodiazepines sedate but are less effective in reducing the core symptoms of schizophrenia, do not induce extrapyramidal symptoms, decrease muscle tone, increase seizure thresholds, and can produce profound psychological dependence as well as severe withdrawal symptoms with chronic use.
