This patient has had heavy menstrual bleeding for six months. D&C performed last month did not alleviate the heavy bleeding. She is now admitted to undergo endometrial cryoablation. The procedure was done under ultrasonic guidance and without any complications.

Mrs. Stenson delivered a 6-pound baby boy yesterday. Prior to delivery she had requested a sterilization procedure. This is her sixth child and she and her husband wish to have no more children. Mrs. Stenson wishes to "have my tubes tied." On the day following delivery, the patient was taken to the OR where she underwent fulguration of the fallopian tubes via laparoscopic approach. Three abdominal portals were used, each of which was closed with a single suture.
