An investigator is interviewing a witness to an armed robbery. The witness is willing to talk and is offering a lot of details during the interview. What is the best method to record notes during this interview?
◦ Do not take any notes.
◦ Attempt to take complete notes while the citizen is narrating a story and continually ask the witness to: "Go on..." when the witness slows down to allow you to write everything down.
◦ Take brief notes consisting of names, addresses, and certain phrases that will outline the narrative for review.
◦ Ask the witness to slow down so that you can take better notes.
