There are more businessmen for whom entertaining at restaurants is an important business activity. Also more males inhabit drinking establishments than women.

Answer 2

While relatively few travelers actually fit the stereotypes assigned to them, unfortunately media outlets, especially TV and movies, have tended to play up those images. However, the stereotypes have been broken down over time by increased interaction and are not as pronounced as was formerly the case.
