Answer 1

The need for special skills exists throughout the travel industry. These include marketing and sales, organizational abilities to plan major undertakings, skills in dealing with people (employees and customers) in difficult situations, information technology, and leadership abilities. Those who develop good capabilities in any of these areas will be in strong demand and can advance within a segment or switch easily to another part of the industry. Therefore, students should be encouraged to think broadly about what challenges and opportunities are available in

choosing travel as a profession, and also how they can prepare themselves better so that they get recognized more quickly for the contributions they can offer.

Answer 2

Alliances can improve stakeholder communications, help CVBs spread the message of tourism's benefits for a destination, and produce stronger marketing efforts by pooling resources.
