You need to conduct further analysis. Revenue management system can analyze vast amounts of data quickly and offer recommendations that best reflect the available information stored in the system. However, as stated, data is static, and more importantly, numeric values may not be able to explain what is changing in the marketplace. Revenue management folks therefore need to rely on the system to analyze trends, but to go beyond that, to combine his/her market intelligence to make business decisions.
