Because of its long history of economic and political stability plus the fact that it honors its financial obligations, the U.S. currency has long been the leading currency of choice for international transactions.

Airlines are risky ventures that nevertheless seem to attract entrepreneurs, the same as restaurants and sports teams. These industries have high public visibility and offer their owners lots of opportunities for publicity.
