Answer 1

b

Answer 2

ANSWER: Students have a number of different issues they may wish to cover. The most obvious are the various taxes that the British imposed on the colonies. It is important for students to note that the colonial objections were not just financial. The colonists also had very strong opinions about their political rights, and stronger essays should reflect this, along with a discussion of the political ideas underlying the colonists' views. Some students may also examine the Proclamation Line of 1763 and the limitations that it placed on settlement. Finally, some students may cover the Quebec Act and how this convinced many colonists that they were being treated unfairly by Parliament.
