Answer 3

Answer: Mexico

Answer 4

Answer: Wilson made a serious blunder when he failed to take any prominent Republican politicians to Paris with him to negotiate the peace treaty, since the Republicans had gained a majority in the Senate in the election of 1918. Personality differences between Wilson and Lodge, chair of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, made it difficult for them to resolve their differences concerning the League of Nations. When Wilson suffered a stroke, those supporting the League lost their most valuable leader.

Answer 5

Answer: President Wilson attended the Paris Peace Conference to bring peace to an imperialistic and greedy world. He embodied his idealistic, and often nave, goals in his Fourteen Points, being especially concerned with the establishment of a League of Nations to maintain world peace. In order to obtain approval of the League, Wilson was forced to compromise many of his other goals.
