When diagnosing an electronic distributor ignition system, a 12 volt test light connected from the negative primary coil terminal to ground flutters while cranking the engine.  A test spark plug does not fire when it is connected from the coil secondary wire to ground while cranking the engine. The cause of this problem could be which of these items:
◦ Defective primary circuit
◦ Defective pickup coil
◦ Defective ignition module
◦ Defective ignition coil
