Test the hypothesis at the α = 0.05 level of significance that the sequence is not random.
0   0   1   1   1   0   1   0   0   0   0   1
◦ r = 6; lower critical value = 4; upper critical value = 13
Since 4 < r < 13, we do not reject H0. There is not sufficient evidence to support the hypothesis that the sequence is not random.
◦ r = 3; lower critical value = 3; upper critical value = 11
Since r ≤ 3, we reject H0. There is sufficient evidence to support the hypothesis that the sequence is not random.
◦ r = 3; lower critical value = 4; upper critical value = 13
Since r ≤ 4, we reject H0. There is sufficient evidence to support the hypothesis that the sequence is not random.
◦ r = 6; lower critical value = 3; upper critical value = 11
Since 3 < r < 11, we do not reject H0. There is not sufficient evidence to support the hypothesis that the sequence is not random.
