 Children who develop ODD or CD have less accurate and more hostile/aggressive interpretations of everyday social information; process social situations differently than peers
 Another possibility is that a child with callous-unemotional traits does understand social situations and uses that understanding to their own advantage.
 Examples  a child walking down the hallway meant to run into me instead of it was an accident; others are out to get me
