 Negative affectivity  tendency to experience fear and frustration/anger
 Effortful control  ways in which infant attempts to regulate stimulation and response
 Boys score higher in surgency, girls score higher in effortful control, little difference in negative affectivity
 May be differences between Eastern versus Western cultures and among various Western cultures
