 Diagnosis  while many diagnoses are based on deficits and problems the focus should always be on the child first with a thorough understanding of how those factors impact a particular child
 Assessment  assessment should include a measure of not only deficits or problems but also strengths, skills, talents and success
 Treatment  utilize strengths in developing an efficient treatment plan that is based on skills, talents and successes
