Donald has sought medical treatment for his erectile dysfunction. He was surprised when his physician would only prescribe medication (e.g., Viagra) on the condition that he also consults with a psychologist.

Why would the physician make that recommendation?

  a) Because the physician probably gets a kick-back from the psychologist
  b) Because the cause and treatment of sexual dysfunctions often involve psychosocial factors
  c) Because the physician knows the medication is just a band-aid and the problems will remain unresolved without a psychologist's involvement
  d) Because the physician is uncomfortable talking about sexual dysfunctions and would prefer to divert the conversation to a psychologist.
